She went from Saturday eating, cutting up, happy to be getting out counting down the days - to almost comatose!!
We went up there yesterday Wednesday Oct 25th 2017 and she was in her wheel chair laying her head on her tray with a pillow.
We saw her this past Saturday October 21st 2017 and she was looking forward to getting out and was cutting up with all of us that were there and she was eating good.
This is awful!! I thought this use to be a place that cared about their patients!! It has changed for the worst within the past year!!!
Why not be a professional and explain to our Mother that because she has a coccyx ulcer on her tailbone that it is not good for her to continue sitting and that "we the professional nurse" need for you to lay down and not sleep in the wheel chair.
I know they are drugging our Mother!! They may not put it on the report; but they are drugging her and she knows it and we know.. It seems to be happening at night!!
Why not go get another mattress??? Hell No!!! They aired it up again and it went down again!!
My mother was here about a year ago with a broken hip. They got her back to where she was independent in no time. She is fixing to go back there again with another broken hip, although this time she displaced the ball bone and had to have surgery. I won't have to worry about her here as I know they will treat her like family.
There is no doubt our Mother is being drugged!!
THEIR EXCUSE!! They said they are NOT going to make the bed until she wants to lay down!! How stupid is that??? Also when we have been there; the bathroom is dirty!! sheets laying in the floor, used gloves laying on the floor and more!! It looks trashy!!!
I asked why can't you get another mattress and make the bed so that she will want to lay down??
She told this to our sister twice!! Our Mother doesn't exaggerate or lie and is very to the point!!
Our Mother is in this Rehabilitation and we know for a fact she is being drugged to keep her out!!!
Since Sunday she has become all of a sudden incoherent and when we saw her; her eyes were dilated and she seemed almost high!!!
First of all they kept a deflated mattress there for her to lay on!! And they kept airing it up and it would go down!!
I hope to be recording as of today!!! You don't go from being happy cutting up eating and having a good time from Saturday to a Sunday through today almost comatose!!
Great hospital! The staff was professional, attentive, and invested in my husband's recovery. His 2 week stay couldn't have gone better. We were very impressed with the cleanliness and comfort of the facility.
We asked what medications they had her on and they denied giving her anything. It is a damn lie!!
My sister went up there today Thursday Oct 26th 2017 and our Mother told her she was being drugged and that they like it that she is "doped" up and that they are keeping her that way!
Texas Rehabilitation is an amazing facility that provides the best care there is to offer. My mother was admitted after her doctors recommended no less than 2 to 3 weeks of treatment. The diligence and supportive care made it possible for her to be discharged in just 5 and a half days. The nature of the caregivers is nothing less that positive and humble and they made ours a happy and encouraging experience. My family is very thankful for this facility and all of the staff that committed to helping my mother.
What about the risk of her falling over if the tray moves??? When we walked in the tray had just started to move!!
Another thing!!! She has been sleeping in her wheel chair.. Their excuse is; if she doesn't want to lay down they can't make her!! Her doctor has stated several times that her legs need to be elevated!!
It is ridiculous how seniors are being treated!!
Well you can't elevate her legs if she is sitting and sleeping in a wheel chair. In which she had been sleeping in a wheel chair for the past 4 days!!!
My grandmother was recently a patient here and the service she received was AMAZING! The nurses and therapists were FANTASTIC! She loved the food, and so do did I! Everyone in this hospital made her feel at home and I was genuinely touched when a staff member presented her with a cardinal figurine on the day she was scheduled to return home, all because she stated how she loves cardinals! I highly recommend this facility to anyone who wants 5 star service!
