Very knowledgeable
From the start Dr.Ellis was amazing until I had a chiari surgery that had me in ICU for 24 hours and in the hospital for a couple of days. The hospital review is completely different so back to my Dr. After a skull surgery and 32 staples in the back of my head I was told my take home meds would be tramadol and robaxin and valium. See you in 2 weeks? WOW! TRAMADOL SERIOUSLY! that wouldn't help the pain of an ingrown toenail. So he changed it to Tylenol 3 stating he doesn't write for anything stronger. Let's just say I'm 10 days out from surgery and ready to buy street drugs! My pain level stays about a 9. I have a high pain tolerance but damn! I cry myself to sleep most nights in pain and wake in 3 hours if that with the same if not more pain. I didn't ask for a lifetime script of pain meds just something to help with the pain after surgery that's it. While in the hospital I was given Norco every 4 hours, morphine every hour, robaxin every 8 hours, valium every 8 hours then sent home with 30 Tylenol 3 1-2 q 4-6 and valium 1 q 8 then robaxin q 8. Thanks Dr Ellis for banging on my skull cutting through all my neck muscles and then leaving me to fend for myself because that's what it feels like. By the way I have 2 patients that were both sent home after minor back surgeries with 180 hydrocodone and he did their surgery. And 1 was given refills! 60 of those would have been nice to help with pain control. Love my DR HATE the way he has done my aftercare !
I was referred to this group by my pain management Dr, and after the first meeting I can not get a call back from them regarding what the proceedure they were supposed was going to cost me, after I called and left detailed messages and contact info.
Scheduled appointment at 9am, checked in 30min early, filled out paperwork. Left by my lonesome in the waiting room for 45min past my scheduled appointment time. Dr. Ellis indicated that he worked the previous night. I just got off a double shift myself with only 2hrs worth of sleep, but was able to keep my appointment and be on time.........guess he thinks his time is more important than anyone else's. All I can say, is if you schedule an appointment, have the decency to honor it, or at least notify me in advance that there could be a delay!!! I know if i was 45min late, I would have hell to pay with my customers. If I could take away stars from this rating I would. Complete and utter waste of my time, and thank goodness I wasn't in any pain or had a dire emergency.......I don't think I could've endured waiting any longer if I had.
Most unresponsive staff and a total nightmare as far as physical access goes.
Well good dr. Not real informative, not exactly sure why I was charged a full copay on a follow up after an ordered mri to reset my vp shunt. I didn't ask for mri's, maybe I should question my insurance company. That should of been a no charge visit.
At this time there is no way I would use them for anything.
