NURSE CAUGHT LYING and ALLOWED MY GRANDMOTHER TO SUFFER NEEDLESSLY IN PAIN! The chief nursing officer called it a MISTAKE (really)... The law calls it NEGLIGENCE!

My husband, was sent there from HARRIS HOSPITAL downtown. He found his stay unpleasant & most of the staff poorly trained. I hope things have changed.

Let me start off by saying the care during the week has been fantastic, but as we know, one bad apple can ruin the bunch. My grandmother had a total knee replacement and her surgeon suggested that she needed to go to rehab at HealthSouth City View. The problem has been with the care on the weekends. I understand that staffing is at a minimum, but that shouldn't affect the quality of care. Her first weekend at HealthSouth City View was not a good experience for her. Staff were unresponsive or very slow to answer her calls. We should have listened to her when she begged us to let them take her home before the next weekend. I was assured that her care would be greatly improved this weekend. Let me assure you that it has not!

My dad was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer and he should have been given the best treatment possible in this moment in his life and instead they left soiled diapers, bed sheets, and clothes on the floor next to his bed and in the bathroom.

My grandmother let the nurse and nurse aid know several times that she was in pain and that it was time for her next dose. Did either follow-up? NO! They did not. My grandmother called me asking me to please see what was going on. I gave the nurse the benefit of the doubt and called to speak with her. She FLAT OUT LIED. I called my grandmother back to let her know what the nurse had said and she told me EXACTLY when she had been given her last pain dose. This time I called the nursing supervisor and asked her to follow-up and get back to me. She called me back to let me know that my grandmother was correct and that the staff had indeed made a mistake and that the issue would be dealt with. I pressed and wanted to know how my grandmother's care would improve today. She responded by saying, "What do you expect me to do?" "I can't be up there 24/7". That really rubbed me the wrong way. Lady, I want you to take care of my grandma as you would someone you loved! THAT IS ALL I WANT!

First I have had a friend come here 2 times after a heart attack and they had to learn all over again and she did great because she needed a lot of care plus rehabilitation to walk eat bathe even she left walking out of that place after daily rehab. The next time was family he had a bad fall and had to learn to walk again and he's very stubborn so we chose to send him here for rehabilitation instead of a nursing home because he actually wanted to learn to walk again on his own and knew that if he was taken home family would not push him to do rehab because of his stubbornness and after 6 weeks he left able to walk without any issues bud did have assistance using a walker age 75, now he's fully recovered no walker needed. As far as staff etc all were nice and any concerns we had were addressed promptly. Plus you have a case manager from day one and the number is wrote on the dry board for anyone to see, so if you have a problem and don't like the facility etc you can request a meeting and if you still don't like what's going on I suggest you contact them and request your family be moved to some other place. Your not held hostage there so reading some of the reviews makes me think they sent their family member to the wrong facility. So that said if you want rehabilitation and your family member isn't so out of it they can't make any decisions on their own I don't know that this would be the place unless your going to have a hands on approach and go daily and ask about progress instead of assuming about their progress. They welcomed me asking questions. So my experience has been great family and friend's.

Dr Campbell was great! But about 30% or the staff was rude. One kept hitting my grandmother's hand when she was trying to grab on to something in the bathroom. One blames her for breaking the light switch when I saw the nurse do it.

IF AT ALL POSSIBLE, DO NOT LET YOUR LOVED ONES GO HERE. IF YOU DO, EXPECT FAMILY NEEDING TO STAY AND KEEP THE STAFF ACCOUNTABLE.

When him and my mother complained that the food wasn't cooked thoroughly, or it was cold; they did nothing to fix it. The cooks apparently couldn't pay attention to the menu that they offered and gave him totally different things that what he asked for plus it was also cold. My dad arrived there with hope and seeming to be on the upside of his diagnosis, and after a week of being there; his health had diminished. I am 100% dissatisfied and would never recommend this place to anyone.

My father went here and the experience was awful from the start. The attention to the patients lacked, bedside manner lacked, and knowing your patient lacked as well. They had no clue how to take care of him... no one was reading charts from his previous hospital stay. This included nurses and doctors.

My personal experience here.
