Wonderful place. We eloped here, and stayed one night in the sweetheart cottage, which is very spacious. The good stuff: The attention to detail, the food, the coffee, the room - all amazing! There is a heart shaped jetted tub and an unbelievable shower in the cottage. Remote controlled fireplace. Great audio system, if you want to stream music. No street noise. Comfy bed with quality linens. Lots of special little touches everywhere to enhance the romantic vibe. Our ceremony was conducted by the husband who runs the place with his wife, and he conducted our wedding very nicely. The wife (Kelly) made a delicious mini wedding cake and arranged for a bouquet in my favorite color. You can tell they put a lot of work into running the place.
This is now one of our favorite BnB’s, and we will definitely be returning for future visits. The property, the rooms themselves, and the couple that runs the place are all extremely top-notch. Bravo
My fiancé and I wanted a romantic getaway and that's what the website portrayed. However, upon arrival the place looked a little rundown. We proceeded to give it a try! We asked to look at the room before we made any purchases and they complied. While walking to our "cottage" there were broken flower pots everywhere. The exterior had not been kept up with. The yard had not been kept up with for sure. Right next to a very busy highway so not very quiet. Worried about our car getting broken into. The room... cluttered and dirty with unnecessary items (decorations). Two rotating fans in the room. Very dirty looking, the blankets felt scratchy and uncomfortable. We let them know we did not want to stay there and they said it was fine. We were there for 15 minutes. The next day they decided to charge us when we were only there for 15 minutes and we did not believe it was what they led us to believe. They refuse to give us our money back. This is NOT a very well run or courteous establishment. We ended up at The Inn on Lake Granbury. I would definitely suggest that place! The staff is amazing and they have so much more to offer. So, this is my review!
Everything was perfect! My wife and I love the victorian feel of the property and all the antiques were so fascinating! We'll definitely be back to see the other rooms
It was our 25th anniversary and we decided to stay at Lockheart Gables B&B, the best decision ever, we enjoyed everything esp the heart shape tub the romantic breakfasts brought to our room and all the little extras the innkeeper were so nice and very helpful they made our stay extra special and romantic...the best ever! Thank y'all so much! Can't wait to go back...
