Stayed here for about a week and a half a couple of years ago. Two newspapers at the foot of my door every morning, excellent breakfast + many choices, two free dinners during the week with free beer! Staff was great and the place was clean and up-to-date.
Very kind and accommodating staff. Facility was clean and well maintained. Breakfast is wonderful and variety of great food!
This is not the newest HIE I have stayed at. But the staff is great, they have a happy hour that went on much longer than it needed to. But free beer is great and not usual for a HIE. there was a problem with the hot water in my room. Cold shower, it's like I'm back in the service. They did apologize and gave me 5000, pretty good for a days work.
HI Express never fails us. Always clean.... comfortable beds..... delicious breakfast!
Holiday Inn Express is my go-to hotel of choice. This one was a disappointment. When I checked in, the receptionist pointed out all the amenities, including the laundry on the 2nd floor. However, during my entire stay of 4 nights, there was a sign on the laundry door saying it was out of service. I had hot water for my shower the first night but had lukewarm water at best until the last night. Was told they had trouble with their hot water heater. The carpet in my room had multiple stains. The desk chair was a vinyl chair which looked gross...the top of the seat back and the seat cushion were badly worn and the material was flaking off. There was another chair in the room which was missing one of the pads so it rocked back and forth, plus it was so low to the ground it was hard to get out of. It also had bad stains. I wanted to call the front desk one time but when I picked up the phone, there was no dial tone (no cord from the wall jack to the phone itself). On the plus side, the bed was comfortable and they had a supper each night which was nice. Staff was friendly. I was told they are due for a refurb after the first of the year....it is badly in need of one.
