My son replies, "Yes."

We have taught our kids manners (which includes introducing themselves to strangers) & if they are expected to use theirs, my kids expect others to use theirs as well (especially adults/people in authority). My son, by the way, is about to turn 12...he's not 2 and he prefers to be addressed himself.

I took my son to see Dr Tahir Ali today and honestly the only positive I can say is that from start to finish, we were only in his office about 20 mins. The reason for our visit to Dr Ali was that our dentist told me that my son's frenulum (the tissue that connects under the tongue) is what is causing my son to snore and needs to be reclipped (it was clipped by an ENT almost 12 years ago when he was a baby). Dr Ali spent a very short 3mins 31 secs (I know because I recorded it) with my son. The whole visit would've been over in less than 60 seconds however I forced Dr Ali to answer more of my questions.

My son replied, "No."

Dr Ali is straight to the point and his bedside manner is that way also. However, he is gentle and has never hurt my husband. He suggest options to try before resorting to surgery and he does not load you up with a bunch of pills. His staff is friendly and efficient. The only downside is the waiting room. It is small and usually full of people but the wait for us has never been long. I would recommend Dr. Ali to everyone.

Dr Ali responds, "Yes."

To add insult to injury, my son was already nervous because of the nurse. Although she didn't say much, she did say that if Corbin's frenulum needed to be reclipped, that this is a procedure done in surgery (under anesthesia)...we were in the exam room a whopping 30 seconds when she throws out a bomb like surgery…not a great way to start an office visit with a new doctor for sure.

I respond, "Well, if you truly examined his mouth, I'm pretty sure you would've noticed that his tonsils have already been removed. His adenoids have been removed as well."

Dr Ali then spends maybe 30 seconds looking in my son’s mouth and then says me, "Does he snore or stop breathing and gasp for air? I want you to watch that for a week and then get back to me. But his frenulum is not the problem. He needs to have his tonsils and adenoids removed."

I then said to my son, "Would you like to have the dr introduce himself before he examines you?"

To which I reply, "Um, you did just examine his mouth right?"

Dr Ali then says, "Yeah a noticed he had a lot of room in there." (

Dr Ali responds, "Ok...I'm Dr Ali."

When Dr Ali walked in the room, he shook my hand, went to my son & immediately told him to open his mouth. I was immediately off-put by the fact that Dr Ali didn’t introduce himself to Corbin so I quickly came over to my son and said to him, "Did the doctor introduce himself to you BEFORE he began looking in your mouth?"

I found Dr. Ali very professional and will be visiting him again for another matter. He has successfully operated on my husband also.
