Great place to take family for the day. Good food, activities, history and old west ambiance. Many shops, museums, train rides, petting zoos, maze, cattle run, and so much more. Only thing was not impressed with is cost for parking so if you are willing to walk a bit it will save you $15.00.
Definitely a place to visit especially with the family. Got to make sure yo go when they're herding the cattle too as that's pretty amazing to look with their cowboy gear and everything. Didn't try the food as I was warned it's average but the prices are for tourist. Did walk in to the shops and there was cool Texas memorabilia and leather good but boy were they expensive. I would look else where as it is a tourist trap.
Take a tour to learn the history of the area. Very Interesting. Pay special attention to the stars on the sidewalk. The travel drive was fun to watch. I only wished it was longer, but you get a good sense of what it was like. You have a lot of opportunities to take pictures with cowboys. It is a must see if you are in the area.
Shopping and entertainment everywhere. The live gun fight, and the long horn parade were awesome, and free to the public. Don't forget to get your calf fries at one of the many restaurants, and enjoy.
This was my first true Texas experience and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I would recommend anyone in the area to go and check it out if they haven't. There are a bunch of shops and restaurants to check out and make sure to be around for the walking of the bulls!
