I called to make an appointment and explained that I have a Collie that still has her winter coat and needs to be shaved. I went in to detail that her coat was very thick and she needed to cut down. The girl I spoke with even put me on hold and asked a groomer what the cost would be. I was quoted around $55. I understand that it could go a bit higher but she assured me it would be no more than $65. My husband dropped our dog off and explained that I wanted her coat to remain about 2 inches long with the area around the neck remaining long. When I picked up Bella, she was cut down to about 1/2 inch and I was charged $95. I expected a little wiggle room in the quote, but this was nearly double what they quoted me. The owner told me that my dog had a lot of hair and that is what the increase was for. She was shaved, not brushed out. Not sure why the amount of hair caused it to nearly double in price. I will not go back.
I worked for melissa for a couple weeks. And she looks all christian with her customers and the employees she favors. But behind that fake smile. She harsh and cruel, i never received any payment for work on time. Which results left me and my small children homeless. I was told by someone that she would be great to work for. But i was taken advantage of. I want to warn anyone who wants to work for her. I hope you have a strong heart because no matter what you do it will never be enough.
I was very disappointed and it hurt me emotionally and financially.
This place is the best place ever. they have helped me with my dog Murphy byrd numerous of times no matter where I move no matter where I go. I will always come back to this place. they treat you like family and they love you just as much. as well as your pets.

I can truly say I am a VERY picky person down to my Starbucks coffee. I am one of "those" people. If I use someone I've always done my research, going to Melissa I was very nervous (first time puppy owner) When I went in to feel the place out after reading her reviews I couldn't leave!!! Her and her staff were absolutely amazing. They didn't just groom my baby they educated me on so many different things as being a dog owner. I couldn't have asked for better service. She will get my business and anyone else I can send her as well. This place is few and far between, thanking you all for being so great!
