I was there for a very weird situation. I explained to Luke Rainwater that he would need me to show him how I start my car. He said he didn't need any help. He called me 4 hours later stating he couldn't start my car. Of course I was upset. I ex0lained to him that I tried to show him how and he refused. Now I had to walk him through the process. He cursed at me threatened me. He never once apologized for his behavior. He was rude and unprofessional.
I was very impressed with Rainwater Transmission. After getting three completely different quotes to repair my transmission over the phone from three other Transmission Repair Shops, I decided to put my faith in the folks at Rainwater Transmission. First of all, Rainwater did not just give me a quote over the phone without even checking my car like the other shops did.... Even I know there are many parts within a transmission that can be replaced. How in the heck can a repair shop quote me a price without even checking which parts need to be replaced and which parts are still good?? I received Free Towing as long as they did the work (that is fair enough) and was pleasantly surprised to find out that only one part within my transmission needed replacing. From now on I will return to Rainwater where they respect my intelligence enough to explain things and not just hit me with a high price off the top of their heads like so many other Auto Repair shops I have dealt with in the past. I don't mind paying a fair price for something as long as I know what exactly it is I am paying for!
Great work..... Specific details and great workers. Excellent on estimates and charges...would recommend anyone and everyone to check with them if you need transmission work!!!!!!!!
They arent worth the one star I had to publish.
I would give a lower review if possible! These guys are an ABSOLUTE joke!! Supposedly put a rebuilt engine ($3600) in my parents Infiniti G35 and it has given them overheating problems ever since. Took it back a few times to try and figure it out. This last time they supposedly replaced the thermostat and water pump (supposedly $1400) and then threatened to take seizure of the car cause no one was picking it up. My dad goes to pay and wouldn't you know the CAR STILL WAS OVERHEATING before they left the shop! Guy apologized and said they would figure it out, to give them a few days...... well today they call and say its a bad head gasket on the rebuilt motor THEY installed and since its past their warranty period it would cost $4200 to fix. They car has barely been driven since its been rebuilt cause of the overheating prob. Anthony ACTS like he is doing you a favor but is a con. Don't waste your time and definitely don't waste your money dealing with these guys.
This place is horrible! We had a mechanic look at the repairs rainwater said they replaced because what they said they fixed didnt make sense. He told us it had not been replaced. We took it back to rainwater and asked about it, the owner told us to "take it off and prove it." If court costs and the time it would take for court was worth more than the money spent on the "repairs" we would sue them. Do not use this repair shop!
