I would hope that someone in a manager position would know when to make an exception to a rule for the sake of customer service especially when the rule doesn't logically apply to the item. Also, I would caution anyone from dealing with a company at store level who apparently has become so online focused that they are unable to provide a way to address issues that arise at the store level. At this point, for the sake of my time and sanity, I am going to cut my losses and go somewhere else to buy my ink and NEVER purchase anything from Office Depot again.
I came from out of town to a business meeting and forgot my business cards,so I explained what happened to the printing specialist Jasmine and she help me in less than 45 minutes I was on my way to my meeting with my business cards Thanks Jasmine!!!!!!☺
After I finally found the forms i was looking i had to wait for 20 minutes standing on the line to pay. Not only that, a representative opened another register but he made the decision to help the last person on the line instead of helping me, the first person on the line to pay that waited for 20 minutes. Why the wait? The person in front of me took a bunch of junk mail to have it shredded but she was shredding the papers one by one ..!!!
Ordered business cards to be printed and picked up same day. They didn't have them ready until the next day and they were printed wrong. At least I got my refund.
This would be a 0 star rating if that was possible. I purchased a two pack of black ink cartridges. The first one was fine, but today I tried to use the second one. It prints blank pages. I went online to troubleshoot it and there's something about a vent on the cartridge. I tried clearing the vent as per the instructions and it still didn't work. I contacted the store to confirm that I could come in tomorrow and exchange it. I was told that if it was more than 30 days ago that I would not be able to. This is a two pack of black ink, so it had been longer than 30 days. The store manager was completely unwilling to exchange this item. I buy a lot of ink there and all I wanted was one that worked. I asked him for a district or regional manager's number and he gave me the customer service number. The customer service number does not deal with in-store purchases. Someone on that line told me I needed to contact human resources and gave me a phone number and said to choose option three. I thought this was very odd, but I tried it. Unless I was calling about my W2, this was not helpful. I called the customer service number back again. He gave me what was supposedly a corporate number. I called the corporate number and chose the return option which led me back to the original customer service number that I started with who cannot help me because it is a store purchase.
Employees were rude and organized. I could see the other customers fustrated too
