Stood in the watch dept. for a good 5 min, 2 people working there no help, no acknowledgment. I USED to love Dillard’s. Only getting 2 stars because the lady in the sunglasses dept. is ALWAYS friendly.
Very disappointed in the customer service. I asked about gift wrap and the lady in customer service quickly responded, yes, we charge. Obviously, I knew there is a charge except for elite cardholders, which I explained to her. She didn't know what she was doing and asked her coworker questions the entire time. What ever happened to politeness and good old customer service?

I love Dillard's, they do not skimp on quality, they could use more courteous sales people. In other words they simply need to hire more good sales people in quantity. Their sales staff is great; they just need more!
Just 5 minutes ago I was very disappointed in the company I used to WORK FOR!!! I was returning a shoe purchase, the very dept. I used to be an associate in, & was surprised when they told me there was nothing they could do for me Bc the pop up label and receipt were "too old". Both of which I had with me in the undamaged box with the shoes still wrapped in their plastic. This is after calling not one, but two managers (ASM) on duty Bc the 1st one wouldn't even answer his page & the second one couldn't be bothered to come to the dept. to appease me as a long time spender at this very location. Instead she just told the associate over the phone to relay the message. I was slightly irritated but having worked retail & with this veteran associate trying to do her best, I didn't want to take it out on the associate, but it's the poorest form of customer service!!! Not only do I know being a former employee that a manager had they bothered to come help could have given me my money back for an item never even taken out of the box, but that if I had been one of those rude, unruly, irrate customers that make a huge scene etc, I still would have gotten my money back. I don't know why it has to come to that for good customer service at a store I easily spend $10k/year at. I understand policy's change, and it was past the pop up label, but it was brand new in the box with the exact receipt and original payment right in front of them. They did absolutely nothing to show they value any customers business or to encourage me to continue future business with them. Losing a customer for a lack of just the simplest courtesy is just bad business.
