Ended up in the ER.
Sure enough, i found a MUCH better dentist office just across the street who was flabbergasted someone recommended i needed a deep cleaning.
I should have ran when he convinced me I had Periodontal disease and had me do $650 deep cleans that I now have found out from a real dentist that I don’t have and did not need!
Truth is he simply did not want to fix or answser to his work! I don’t know why this man decided to be a dentist. If you are made of this moral fiber then, go do something else. But don’t mess with people’s health, steel their money, prescribe expensive unnecessary treatment, misdiagnose, demean them and your staff and still say you took the Hippocratic Oath?
The other dentists said with my insurance its only $600.
You can still ran, so believe all these low ratings and RAN FOR THE HILLS!!!
Other dentist charged me $125.
Most reviews I've read about this place seem to be the same. Just out for money.
I had a gut feeling i was being taken advantage of. They tried selling me on a few other things i didn't feel were necessary.
How can a company be so crooked??
They Wanted to charge me $400 for a retainer.
Heritage Modern Dentistry didn't even utilize my insurance for the quote!! And they are in my network.
Horrible experience... dry socket as a result of surgery. Answering service goofed off for 3 hours before finally admitting they didn't have the cell phone number for one of their own doctors (the one who did the surgery). None of the other doctors would call in an antibiotic.
I waited to write this review until i had a few other opinions to make sure I wasn't assuming things about them.
If you're looking for a dentist office, save yourself a lot of time and money by not coming here.
I should have ran when he BOTCHED my crown (I was bleeding 6 months after he put it in), with him sending me to all sorts of specialist when in fact, he had done a shoddy job that he did not want to take responsibility for.
I should have ran, I stayed too long and have long expensive treatments ahead to unfurl this unscrupulous man’s work.
Dr. Ragbir cannot stand it when you ask him why he’d doing something, and what the options are. He gets angry with a “take it or leave it” attitude. When I asserted myself and asked that he fix what he had botched, he told me via his secretary (as he was too cowardly to tell me to my face), that he will only take me as a standby patient, because I have been late in the past?!?! His new office manager was appalled at this and checking my record HIS MANAGER said that it was complete fabrication and that I was only a few minutes late once, when I had an emergency and had called to explain it! She could not believe he would say that over 1 time in all the years I’ve been going there, and behind closed doors she let me know what a horrible person this was and that there were so many patients that had been mistreated there. Poor lady, I hope she got another job.
I am a nice person. This is the FIRST negative review I’ve had to write online…period…so that says a lot, and it pains my heart to have to write negatively about anyone. Yet I do this not for myself but rather to spare you of anything close to what I went through at the hands of Dr. Ragbir.
Extremely dishonest company, do not trust them for your dental care.
They tried upselling me on everything. I regularly get cleanings done every 6 months, and they tried charging me $200 for a deep cleaning. When I asked questions they dropped the price lower and lower, that made me suspicious.
The dentist is very nice and clean. The staff was very friendly to me upon entering the facility. The receptionist, hygenist and dentist were all very kind to me. I went in for a normal 6 month check up. After all of my pictures were taken, I was taken into a room where I was told what services would be required of me after the pictures. The dentist explained to me that I had a cavity that was so large that I would need a crown. The cost of the crown is $800, I asked if it was possible to fill the cavity and was told no. I opted for a 2nd opinion, the dentist cleaned my left side of my mouth and was sold some mouthwash for $30 that I was told would help with the pain from the deep clean. I went to another dentist office a few weeks later that took my pictures again and told me that I needed a simple filling...it cost me $60.60 out of pocket after insurance. I liked the staff in the office, however, their practices to upsell you on your services turned me off. I will not go back to this office.
I should have ran when on multiple occasions while working on my mouth he demeaned and demoralized his staff in front of me (I remember squirming on multiple occasions and feeling sorry for them)
But the lowest I think he stooped, and my breaking point, was when I came to him with a cracked front tooth, and he “fixed” it and told me he needed to fix the one next to it too (nothing was wrong with it!). Needless to say both are coming apart. His staff was so sympathetic at his treatment of me and told me they could not wait to find other jobs away from this deranged Doctor (I will protect them and say nothing more)…
In retrospect I should have ran when all my coworkers who had used him (including the ones that referred me to him) had ran and told me that he was a greedy, unprofessional, corrupt and unskilled doctor with a God complex. I should have ran when on MULTIPLE occasions I was over charged grossly for services (luckily I called my company to verify, but who has time for that?)
But being the nice understanding person that I am, I always give people the benefit of the doubt…(plus with how busy I am, the proximity to my job made it a quick trip for me)
I also need an implant that heritage wanted to charge me $1500.
Just left this office with my son. We were looking for a dentist that was closer to our new home. I made him an appt for a cleaning and xrays which he has done every six months per our dental insurance. After waiting for 45 minutes after our appt time they took him back. When he came out he said he sat back in the back another 30 minutes only to have xrays and no cleaning! No cleaning? No he said, they said I need a deep cleaning....I just got through reading numerous complaints on this site and yelp about how they always tell the patient that they need a deep cleaning! I am livid! Why couldn't they clean his teeth while he was there? They lost a new patient that has a five member household that needs a dentist due to their being greedy! What a sham! Strange how it seems every patient needs a deep cleaning..They better come up with a new scam because everyone is catching on to this one. Shame on them!!
I expressed my concerns and walked out.
