After we ordered, a lady at table next to us started screaming at her server over the price of biscuits. Apparently, she ordered 5 biscuits (advertised on their menu for $2/each) to have before their meal. After receiving her bill (and her credit card declining), she decided to start yelling about the price of biscuits, claiming her waitress should have told her the cost BEFORE placing the order. She then let everyone know she would NOT be paying for them. After a manager came to the table, this very unpleasant and loud customer gave the same rude demands. Listen, if you a. can't read the food prices on a menu and b. can't afford to eat out, don't do it. Running everyone else's breakfast by yelling for 10 minutes is not the most effective way to express your concerns. Do us all a favor and stay home. After having the $10 biscuits removed from her bill, she then paid (her credit card magically worked), left a ZERO tip, and then let everyone know she would not be back again. Along with another table, we decided to leave the poor waitress a tip. No one should be subjected to that kind of rude nonsense, especially over biscuits. We were told that this woman does this quite often. I hope she follows through and takes her business elsewhere.
We frequently visit the Keller location, but decided to try this location out. After being seated, it took a while for our waitress to get our drink order. They were out of the flavored coffee creamer that we usually enjoy in Keller. After my husband finished his coffee, he found a large piece of paper crusted to the bottom of his coffee cup. Gross.
Drinks are often bad tasting. Service is slow. Servers try their best and are always nice but also always short handed. Today I ordered chicken fried steak and it was raw in the middle.
Once our food arrived, it was...ok. The pancake syrup was just a little "off", very thin and tasted like it was sugar free. The biscuits are "cafeteria style", not like the DELICIOUS soft and fluffy biscuits at the Keller location. The fruit was much better than the Keller location. Overall, the meal was just alright.
New owners are very nice! Breakfast was excellent and service friendly.
My first experience dining here a year ago was fabulous. However with each successive trip I have been disappointed. Today at 9:30 it was empty. I looked around and noticed several tables needed bussing. We ordered a simple breakfast which was delivered in under 10 minutes. The food was fine, not exceptional, but fine. The cooking grease tasted old. The place has so much potential but feels neglected. It definitely could use a good cleaning. The waitress was not friendly and the tables were still not bussed by the time we left. I was anxious to leave.
I don't think we will visit this location again, but I'm glad we tried it. The atmosphere is similar to the Keller location - needs some updating and a good cleaning, but it's typical diner breakfast.
Nice clean place. Had their chopped sirloin plate. Meat s bit tough but still quite good. Liked the mashed potatoes and gravy. Also liked the mixed veggies. Staff is awesome. Also got a piece of cake with the deal. All for less than $9.
