Love looking at how we lived over 150 years ago. Very educational and entertaining. The staff are ready to answer any questions and to demo pretty much everything over there.
A nice place to spend some time. It took about an hour to walk around all the structures at a leisurely pace. The walkways are paved but not smooth, a stroller or wheelchair would have difficulty navigating some spots. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable providing interesting information about both the cabins and the ways of life. Overall a neat place to visit.
It was cool. I do think they could have alot more interactive exhibits without having to spend d too much more and it would help alot.
My husband and I spent a couple of hours here. The buildings are original. They have different cabins, a school house which double as a church, smoke house, herb house, blacksmith shop and and candle making shop. The staff enjoy telling you history. We will come back with the grands! Admission about $5 depending on age. Children 3 and under free. Hours Tues-Fri 9am-4pm. Sat-Sun 1pm-5pm.
This is a collection of rebuilt and original structures. Educational for all. Makes you wonder how folks survived the heat and why they settled in such a place. People in period costumes teaching various historical things.
