3. Make an RSVP and you'll beat the line.

Dinner menu has only 2 options - Enchiladas and Fajita. Both dishes are served with Guacamole.

2. The setting is beautiful and most of the restaurant is outdoors in a lush setting worth seeing.

Service was quick and we didn’t have to wait for food for long time.

5. Bring your ca$h cause cards aren't accepted. They get everybody with AT&T fees. Yep. They get an extra bang on your buck.

Portion sizes are huge. Chicken in fajita was little sweetish.

3. There's no menu to look at. Really! I have to rely fully on the waiter as I'm told...

Food is good - not the best Mexican food I have tried.

1. This place is so popular with the fifty something upper middle class.

I'm a Dallas guy and the few times a year that I'm over in cowtown I always try to hit Joe Ts. Great service and food. If you catch decent weather try to sit out on their patio. It's huge and very nicely divided and arranged. Cash only but they do have an ATM on site. Large servings great food and drinks. Why can't we get a Dallas location?

Many things I disliked about this restaurant. First of all the fact that they don't accept credit cards, the cash only non-sense, they should make it convenient for your customers and not just for the business. I can see how having several ATM's that charge $2.25 per transaction makes them money and not having to pay credit card fees saves them even more but that's a selfish way to run a business and I'm sure they are losing business that way, the 2-dish menu was another thing, yes there is a pro to this, you get your food a lot faster because fajitas and enchiladas is all they have to cook all day but come on! giving customers a bit more variety couldn't hurt. The prices are too high, a meal for 3 with no drinks was close to $60. Their food is all cooked with Lard which is not good if you are a vegetarian. Needless to say, my family won't be returning to Joe T and I wouldn't recommend it either. There are so many great Mexican restaurants out there that offer a good variety of dishes, accept credit cards, and have reasonable prices. Food was not bad but service wasn't all that so there is no reason to rate this place anymore than 1 star if that.

1. Standing outside for an 90 minutes like you're waiting to get into a VIP club.

If you figure out the secret to why this place is as hot as water drops on a skillet, please post and let me know!

Cons:

It’s a nice restaurant to enjoy ambience, specially during evening time.

We might go back when the weather cools off just for the drinks and the ambiance.

The limited menu offers Fajitas (chicken or steak) or Enchiladas. You can also get a giant cheesy nacho appetizer, but that's it. I just typed out the entire menu. As for the food itself, the nacho appetizer was the best part. but it's nothing more than a large corn chip smothered in cheese and diced, pickled jalapeno. The Fajitas were not at all terrible but left quite a bit to be desired as far as fajitas go.

2. Walking a city block to get to a table. (You think I'm kidding?)

Definitely a place to be seen. Definitely not a place to go for amazing food. The food was definitely good but nothing that would draw me back by itself. This place is all about the environment. Expect a long wait in line but grab a pitcher of margarita from the bar before you hop in line and chill out with some friends for a bit before dinner. The place is huge and seems to be mostly outside dining. The settings are scattered amid a trove of fountains, tropical plants and soft, outdoor lighting. Large fans on the periphery help to quell the afternoon heat but, we all agreed that it would be more enjoyable in cooler weather with heat lamps than in hot/humid weather with fans. The place seats a LOT of people, most of which are enjoying a drink. It's not a quiet date spot.

4. The three dinner items I can choose for dinner: Beef fajitas. Chicken fajitas. OR enchiladas. (At this point I'm mentally apologizing to my feet for standing in line.) I decide on lame enchiladas because I ❤️ sour cream sauce. But no. So limited. Their enchiladas ONLY come with RED sauce.

Note - it’s a cash only restaurant. We opted to visit on weekday to avoid long wait / line on weekends.
