I signed up for a library card at the end of July using my address in Edgecliff Village. I had checked books out twice without issue, but today I was told that I am unable to check out any more books because I am not listed as a resident of Fort Worth. I was told the hold had been placed on my account on 31 July, which is interesting since I just checked books out earlier this week and there was no problem. Not sure why the hold exists at all since they knew I was an Edgecliff Village resident when I signed up, and there was no problem at that time, nor during either of the times I have checked out books since then. I would have liked to support the library system but after this experience I will be going back to purchasing my books on Amazon or at Half Price Books.
Great Location and Helpful Staff
Such a comfy neighborhood library. Very peaceful
This small library is convenient for thousands of people. Right off Trail Lake Drive and Interstate 20, it is easily accessible from many nearby neighborhoods. The librarians are friendly and helpful. The building is too small to have all the books you might want, but they can get them by (free) interlibrary loan within a few days. Excellent collection of DVDs. Large children's section. Open late on Tuesday nights; open five days a week (Mon-Wed and Fri-Sat).
Great programs for families and friendly staff.
