We love Melissa! We've been using Pigtails and Crewcuts for the past 3 years and have always had a great experience. The other stylists we've used have been good, but I definitely prefer Melissa if she is in. She does a great job of working with and explaining what she is doing to my 4 year old, and that makes the whole process easier for everyone!
Great staff! Very welcoming, they work to make your kid feel at ease while getting a haircut! Love that it's a salon dedicated for kids, with fun chairs that they can sit in with TVs right in front of each one! Definitely will be bringing my son back!
I decided to take my son here for his first haircut. I had heard good things about this place. I have to say the place is nice and clean and the staff was wonderful. The person that cut my son's hair however was not kid friendly. She never said hi, never smiled, or gave her name. She never said one word to us other than hold him tight. I was not happy with the service at all. I did get her name through a picture I took. ASHLEY never said thank you have a good day, I didnt even know she was done until she just walked away. When we were leaving the front desk told me about the first haircut package, gave my son a sucker and took his pic. They talked with him and smiled and were just nice. Who knows if I'll go back. Mixed emotions about it.
Absolutely not! My heart may just be too sensitive, but I walked in, saw a hair stylist forcing a screaming toddler to get a haircut, and I did an about face and walked right back out. On my way out the door, the lady up front said “I know, it’s a little distracting”......Seriously?!? No, that is mental abuse your employees are engaging in and I won’t subject my child to that environment or give my money to an establishment that participates in that. My child had a hard time with haircuts at first too, it took time and patience, but we never subjected him to anything that brought on the blood curdling cries that poor child endured. Shame on the parents and shame on you, Pigtails and Crew Cut, for not finding a less psychologically damaging way to handle that poor child’s fears! You will never get my money.
We usually go to the Southlake Location and LOVE it! Today we came to this location since it was closer for us. We walked in and not one employee looked at us or said anything. I took it upon myself to sign in, still nobody acknowledged us. My husband noticed a employee walking up toward us and he said “ hello how are you doing” she didn’t say anything, walked by us and grabbed her cell phone and walked away. We then took it upon ourselves to sit on the couches and wait to be called. It’s been about 10 minutes. One other customer in here and we still have not acknowledged at all, like we’re not even here. We will NOT be coming here again. We will be taking our business elsewhere.
