We visited SeaQuest today and had a blast. We live an hour and 15 minutes away, and it's totally worth the drive. The aquarium is still under construction a bit as they finish putting everything together before the grand opening, but we still got to see a lot of great exhibits. The staff is super friendly and helpful. I didn't catch her name, but the young woman by the sting rays was particularly sweet with my son. She took the time to show him how she feeds the fish and he absolutely loved it. He kept going back to that exhibit. I'm so glad we purchased an annual pass. This place is going to be fantastic!
Wish I could give this place 0 stars! The touch areas had NO supervision, the animals were being roughed up by kids and their parents. Half the exhibits had nothing in them, and it was all around depressing. Me and my daughter were there for 15 min before deciding to speak with a “manager” who gave 0 care of my concerns and our experience. They ended up refunding me my money. We will NEVER go back.
I am definitely NOT going back here. We have a season pass to the kids aquarium at Fair Park for $20 a year. I wanted to change it up for my 2 year old and take him somewhere new. Ughhh. So we stand in a long line to pay for full price tickets when half of the aquariums are empty. And if there wasn’t signage by a particular aquarium (half of them, at the least) you either knew what you were looking at, didn’t have a clue, or didn’t know what you were looking for if you couldn’t find the insect or whatever. It was good for a change, but we will definitely stick to our normal aquarium
This was my second time going since the member early access and it was just as great as the first time we went. Yes some tanks are still empty and they’re missing signs by some exhibits but that’s not enough to take away from the experience. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable, and being able to interact with the animals is amazing! My only complaint for both trips has been no soap or paper towels in the bathrooms or hand washing stations. If they can keep the supplies stocked, the trip would be perfect!
Me and my extended family went over Thanksgiving and all of the children (and even the adults) had a blast! We bought tokens to feed some of the animals which was a fun experience. The aquarium isn't very large but it had plenty to keep everyone engaged for a few hours. We have the annual pass and have already been 3 times!
